I'll have to wait a bit before I can tell if the days really are getting longer rather than just assume its happening based on maths.
About 10 days should do it.

December 21st has always been my favourite day of the year simply because now the days are getting longer and Spring is on its way. Phil

Give it six months and nights will be drawing in. Bah Humbug. It's a common misconception that December 21st marks the point at which the evenings start getting lighter, in fact the earliest sunset in 2017 in London was on December 12th and sunset tonight is already 2 minutes 20 seconds later than it was on December 12th.

Well I like to believe that FROM to-day spring is on its way.... Happy post Christmas everyone..... I've planted hundreds of bulbs...decided wanted my own 'Wordsworths Daffodils'.and similar themed Tulips from Amsterdam and my own Alium Army.....however don't u just love nature, judging by the mass of holes near the bulb beds mice have been kept nourished and sustained by my generosity.......

I like the bit in Family Guy when Peter says there's a message in his breakfast cereal that says "oooooooooo" and Brian the dog says "That"s not alphabet cereal you're eating, Peter, those are Cheerios."
