Third option when you croak it arriving soon from the USA.....
Alkaline Hydrolysis, where the dead body is dissolved using chemicals, then the bones crushed!
Hailed as more environmentally friendly than cremation, should keep the tree-huggers happy, along with their hemp weaved coffins.
So... Will you be opting for it when 'the man in the black cloak' comes knocking?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/dissolving_the_dead I saw this article today too and for me I guess it comes down to cost. I've opted for a none religious crematìon but if this was a cheaper option I might go with it. I doubt it will be cheaper in my lifetime though.

Cost and 'bothered-ness' perhaps.

When I kick the bucket, they can chuck me in the cut for all I care. Firstly it would feed the fishes and secondly there's always the hope that I could get on someone's tits one last time when they had to go down the weed hatch and cut me off their prop.

Would be my choice but not really practical in a heavily populated country.

I want my skellington to be preserved and to have red lights fitted in the eye sockets. It may amuse my grandaughters. Or I could be hung up somewhere in Standedge Tunnel.
