I love charity shops. Yesterday we went to the charity shops in Holt, Norfolk and I got a pair of clean almost new Levi 501s my size for £5 and a pair of slightly worn Levi 511s for £5. Bargain.

I'm surprised it's that low!! Of all the places I work from South Manchester, thro all of Liverpool & The Wirral, onto Lancs, Burnley/Earby etc upto Penrith, I have to say, Rochdale is the roughest shithole of them all... We have had TVs thrown from the flats opposite the College into the yard to local Gypo type scrotes rooting thro our skips in broad daylight and me being apprehended by a gang of local Rozzers and being accused of being a burglar/ spaced out dopehead because I was leaving the building at 3am in the morning! Rochdale....Kill it all with fire!🙄

I wouldn't say it was a very objective poll though. Dover was among the nominations and there was faux outrage in the local newspaper, as a result of which everybody in Dover voted for Dover, which won the competition.
The top ten were Dover, Kingston-upon-Hull, Luton, Scunthorpe, Rochdale, Bradford, Gravesend, Sunderland, Oldham, Blackpool.

I'm trying to think of the worst place I've been to in Britain. Nothing springs to mind, though. I even think Bradford was OK. yes but would you want to live there.

yes but would you want to live there. I've just been shopping there in Bradford. Lovely toilets at the bus station - the Asians who live there really take pride in their town. You trying to curry favour?

I really like the old buildings left in the centre and can only wonder what was like before it was ruined in the 60's and 70's. It's got the best waterstones I've been to. But I still wouldn't want to live there.
