Don't worry the collective here are very good at finding boats. In the next few days I guarantee you will be able to ponder over a few boats within your budget. sounds good to me, the one I started the topic off with has now been removed...Don't think I would have gone for it anyway, too much just didn't add up..

Lets hope the person who paid over 10 grand for it hasn't been duped.

that's what it shows on my screen too. btw. have you started reading your own Christmas gift yet ? Peter. Sadly both the book and bottle are awaiting my attention! I wouldn't be sad about that bottle if I were you The joy of the reading of a good book will last much longer, and if you fancy you can read it again and again. Once the bottle is empty, it will stay empty, and if you want more of the same stuff, you have to buy a new bottle. For me a good book wins each- and every time. Peter.

that doesn't look to bad. Bear in mind that Liverpool boats where cheap boats to start with and vary in quality widely.

The 44' Liverpool boat is on the embankment North past Stanground backwater - note the poles to stop it going onto the path when the levels come up!

i agree but I wouldn't want a 70ft boat. The 70 footer was a wildcard to be fair Sod getting in between someone else's argument! From the advert:- The vessel is being offered under a Tort of goods procedure. Sealed bids above the price shown on this advert should be received no later than 15th January. These will be opened and the winning bidder will be contacted immediately. Payment will then be due with immediate effect. The price is reflective of the value for similar boats of this size in a much better condition and an effective auction reserve is placed on the boat for these reasons. The boat is offered as unsurveyed and with no implied warranty or recommendations as to safe use in the future. There is likely to be significant exterior work required with both plating and paint work needing attention. It's possible that the interior just requires cleaning but again, no checks of the operation of any equipment or propulsion systems has been carried out.
