Thanks to all for not revealing anything about the calendar, I can now publish the link for anyone who hasn't received one to gawp at in awe
I had 35 calendars printed. First, 11 went by post, and all of those recipients confirmed that theirs had arrived, thanks for that!
So I carried 24 with me in my attache case to England. 4 of these were extras ordered by Johnv and peterboat, so that leaves us with 20. Of this, I had 17 as 'drops' and 3 as spares.
We met 13 Thunderboaters and gave 13 calendars away. Another 2 were posted within England. One 'spare' was given to the elderly couple in Banbury, our boat was parked outside their house for 5 months three years ago.
That meant I brought 4 home, and one of those is already marked down as to be posted to England. That means I have three to still hand out. And that means that 27 members of Thunderboat will have gotten a calendar.
Here's the route we took:

Before our calendar delivering trek we made a short trip on our boat to Halifax and back to Sowerby Bridge, and after returning the rental car we took the boat up to Hebden Bridge and back. Thanks to Bob the lockie who operated Tuel Lane Lock for us going up and coming back down; it's the deepest in the country and you're not allowed to work it by yourself.
The calendar trip was just a silly idea of mine but it seems to have 'come off' fairly well. It was a bit of fun for us. A little scary driving along icy roads in central Wales on the first evening, and on arrival in Devizes in the dark on the second evening I was kicking myself for not having made a map by hand so that we could find that marina - even though I had planned the trip pretty accurately, for instance I had taken photos of streets with my camera so could zoom in on arrivals, for Devizes I had not done that. We were fortunate though, this time, in that we happened to be just around the corner from that marina when I phoned to say "Help!"
After the first frantic 3 days, we had a rest day, and the last 2 days were more of a leisurely amble through the Yorkshire Dales and along the western edge of the North York Moors. We got to see Middleham and have lunch in a very nice pub there, probably as old as the castle (The Black Swan), and caught Staithes in perfect weather.
Here are the photos from our trip. Clicking on the first photo will enlarge it, and clicking on the little i symbol top right will bring the text. You can then sail left or right by pressing the arrow buttons of your keyboard, or by clicking on the white arrow on the sides of the photo. (May not work well with mobile phones).

Thanks to everyone for their help and patience and communication in getting this all to work! Perhaps there'll be another photo competition Sept-Oct 2018? Many thanks to MJG/Martin of this parish for managing the photo competition!
