What seems not to be making the news is that the Chairman of Carillion is that despised wide-boy Philip Green. Why do we allow these greedy selfish people such a big stake in our country! Dident he leave in 2011. Seems a bit far fetched to blame any of this on him. On a different note. It seems any potential bidders will only go after the contracts and not the actual business.

Ok, I know I'm trying to back off the tinternet and stuff but I thought I'd try a rant for a laugh. How hard can it be? The BBC have done it again with their support of control freaks. The Carillion collapse WON'T worry those who do REAL work. You know, those who actually build and make things. It will however send shivers down the spines of middle men and executives who sit in an office and do do fuck all but check their bank balance. Sack the whole fucking lot of them I say and get a proper job. As for the construction workers, there will always be work for them. The problem is that the real workers will have to bail the wankers out with their taxes. Grrrr.... So how was that?

..... So how was that? Crap. Tell that to the workers (some on minimum wage) working on the non Public contracts who were expecting a pay packet at the end of the week/month not to worry you can just get another job...

Tell that to the workers (some on minimum wage) working on the non Public contracts who were expecting a pay packet at the end of the week/month not to worry you can just get another job... The demand for building work hasn't changed. The work still has to be done. They might even get paid more if less of the profit was directed towards those who do fuck all. Yes, I agee it's crap that they might lose some pay packets. The future could be much rosier though. Well hopefully.

No, Philip Green is still chairman of Carillion. It's not like you to try to take the piss out of people on a forum. You are factually correct though.

Building work isn't the only thing Carillion do.
One question I haven't worked out yet is does the Governments promise to keep paying workers on the Public Service contracts extend to Private Contracts that also provide public services, i.e. train cleaners employed by Carillion by a train operating company. The Government has always treated these as Private Contracts before and not something they should ever interfere with. If this changes it could have a significant on the future of outsourcing.

But if the government are paying their wages I hope the government have agreed with the main contractor that the government can claim back the costs of doing so. Otherwise the taxpayer will be picking up the bill and the main contractor's directors/shareholders will be getting richer. The merry-go-round continues unabated.

...time to start making those in command pay back ££££££ It's been time since the Norman Invasion, yet the British are strangely reluctant to do anything about being fleeced. The Cornish had a go in the 1400s, and people got a bit huffed-up with King Charles 1st - they hacked his head off and then regretted not having a King to boss them about so had his son Charles 2nd come back from France. What a bunch of twats! The Carillion money has been funnelled into many offshore bank accounts, many owned by those politicians who handed out the contracts to Carillion. If you get too pushy and ask for details they'll only send Magnetman's M16 spooks round to finger your entrails.

That's what I said in my rant. Some of them are very nice people though and if you left it to us rebels you'd have anarchy. It's all about piss taking again...

Philip Green of Carrillion IS NOT the same Sir Philip Green who destroyed BHS.
Had it been the same guy, collapse would have happened much sooner.
