But if the government are paying their wages I hope the government have agreed with the main contractor that the government can claim back the costs of doing so. Otherwise the taxpayer will be picking up the bill and the main contractor's directors/shareholders will be getting richer. The merry-go-round continues unabated. The tax payer always coughs up. That's what I said in my rant. I know - just in my own small way I'm trying to show people how things often work. Some of them are very nice people though and if you left it to us rebels you'd have anarchy. Not necessarily you could have Labour and JC.It's all about piss taking again...

Philip Green of Carrillion IS NOT the same Sir Philip Green who destroyed BHS. Had it been the same guy, collapse would have happened much sooner. Rog Of course not, one was knighted, the other wasn't.

What seems not to be making the news is that the Chairman of Carillion is that despised wide-boy Philip Green. Why do we allow these greedy selfish people such a big stake in our country! My post was in response to the above. Sir Philip Green is a greedy twat, but credit where it's due. Rog

Carillon gone into liquidation owning millions and millions...how the heck are these companies allowed to mount up debts like this?..And why as mentioned above do the fat cats skim off so much cream?...time to start making those in command pay back ££££££'s I haven't read a lot into it but I think and I maybe wrong, it was a collapse of their shares that got them in trouble. They were worth billions am of a sudden they weren't Think they now owes millions.....all their sub contractors will be whistling in the wind

They owe probably nearer the billion pound mark. That was probably small change when they were worth billions but when the company becomes worthless all of a sudden that debt will kill you.

Dident he leave in 2011. Seems a bit far fetched to blame any of this on him. On a different note. It seems any potential bidders will only go after the contracts and not the actual business. No, Philip Green is still chairman of Carillion. Haha. He joined in 2011. Whichever green it was. He was only a non executive chairman anyway.

There once was a man from Carillon
Who owed quite a few million
But he ignored the dirty looks
Got Diane Abbott doing his books
And now he's in credit by £73 zillion

Feck knows! We now have a COBRA meeting because of government policy...! Because it sounds scary and official. COBRA is an acronym for Cabinet Office Briefing Room A ..... So in effect, it's only a cabinet briefing room meeting. There's also a COBRB, but that office is quite small, and you wouldn't get BoJo's beer gut in there

Spoke to my Bro this evening, he works for Interserve. As he does plant maintenance in schools and leisure centres he does not expect to be effected however he said they have been shedding jobs based on size of salary including health and safety (as we alĺ know that's not important.

A good friends brother is a long standing Director of some kind at Interserve, they had a rough time of it a while back but he/they seem to be riding out the storm.

The debacle that is the collapse of Carrillion, must surely push HS2 so far into the distance, that in reality it's unlikely to happen.
Truly hope so anyway.
