Who me?...As if.... Though on a more serious note... I studied a very fascinating topic as part of my degree(never finished degree as life at home disintegrated ) ..it concerned 'mens' issues(to put it delicately)...and what they put themselves through to enhance what nature had supplied...very interesting..read brilliant book by an American regarding the extreme measures he went to. Do elucidate, some members may benefit...... I regret returning the book to the library.....I cannot remember what it was called...wish I could as it was one of those reads that is worth several re reads.

Sounds like you need a Pikey, they can undo any lock that has the sound of bitter experience !!! I do feel for you John, this must be terribly frustrating, being so close to your tools but not being able to use them. It's probably too late now for my advise as the stuff I know opens any door without the need for WD-40 or the magic gt-85. This is THE stuff you need : Peter.

Its a bit naff we never got a picture or details of what lock it was, door hardware material etc. I reckon he got in there after turning the key the right way but doesn't want to admit it.

I second gt85. Use it on my bicycles. Much better than wd40 Frequent sprays of GT85 and the occasional light spray of 3 in 1 (small handy tin from poundland) is what I'm currently using for winter time chain lube. There's bound to be better out there but that'll do for now... Summer time I'll drop the 3 in 1 and use GT85 on it's own, after giving the drive chain a goodly degreasing in spring time. On it's own GT85 is a good maintenance spray apart from the lasting PONG if it gets on skin or clothes. Too much 3 in 1 on the chain and florets of black grease grow around the derailleurs.
