Well it was cursed when it was leaking and worse is the fact that the boat was built round it and I'm going to have to do a fair bit of demolition to get it out. The damned thing is not screwed down but bolted through the bottom of the cupboard it sits in and I can't reach the one right at the back so I'm going to have to lay on my back and slide under the cupboard and get busy with a angle grinder. Oh and the plumbing is a mix of copper, plastic and flexible. Phil

Can you locate a new cauliflower in a more accessible place and leave the dead one in place?
Obviously there would be a fair bit of plumbing to sort and the loss of some storage space but it may be less hassle in the long run?

I wish, but 60ft boat rammed to the gills as we did with our houses, you know utilise every spare bit of available space. Won't be too bad once I've got at the bolts with the angle grinder and it's been a while since I've had a challenge. Phil

The "feet" on the calorifier are usually pretty flimsy. Can't you get a pry bar/lever under the tank and bend or break off the feet ? I assume the calorifier is a write off anyway.
