As for the Cuillins, it is an area I'd like to get to know one day. I have sometimes looked through my maps and planned at first to start out easy by walking from Sligachan past Marsco (the mountain) down to Camasunary. www.countryfile.com/walk-glen-sligachan-isle-skyeI have walked the Lhairig Ghru from Braemar to Aviemore, past Ben Macdui.

The sheep on the Black Mountains are partial to a sherbet lemon. And a cheese and pickle sandwich PS. Bodger, I did get the first punch in but wasn't expecting the headbutt!

I've done that walk many times, both ways. Sligachen hotel is about 300 metres behind me in my photo. You would be walking to the left of the mountain in my picture. Forgot the name. I've been up Marsco a wonderful example of the red cullin. At carmasuary. I have posted a pic before of the bother. Which u have stayed in a few times. It maybe back in private hands now, there is plenty of space to put a tent up. We go in or out via the army road which comes out on the email road. If you ever do it, i recommend carrying on arpund the headland and go up to loch coruisk. The view was voted the no 1 view in the UK. It's lovelly. I'll dig out a pic although it's not the greatest pic in the world

There are much better pics on Google.
What's I always looked forward to was when we stayed by the ferry. We would put breakfast in the oven and nip down to the beach and watch the seals and otters.

Loch Coruisk You walk in at the bottom near where the island is and that view just opens up.
