Is anyone on here a furriner or of relatively recent furrin extraction? Or have you reproduced with furriners in the recent past or do you intend to do so in future?
I'll start. My ancestors are a mix of a Anglo Saxons, Anglo Saxons, Irish and german Jewish rapscallions as far as I know. I have recently reproduced with a French woman both of whose parents are Moroccan.
Is there anyone else guilty of populating this country with more furriners or even worse being a furriner themselves?
Any blacks? Asians?

No, I traced my family tree back as far as possible some time ago and every single ancestor was born in the south of England, to parents born in the south of England. Even my surname means "Settlement of Cofa's people", Cofa being a Saxon chieftain about whom very little is known but who is considered to be who Coventry is named after, Coventry meaning "Cofa's tree". Obviously the Saxons came from Saxony, which is in modern day Germany but whether his settlement consisted of Saxons or pre-existing natives is also unknown.

I have a large Scots/Welsh/Irish heritage but the recent decrepits originated from Kent (for FFS!).
I lurve furriners though - at my wedding we had people from all seven continents - no end of small talk to be made, even the Italian chef said he hadn't had a chance to use all his seven languages in one day before.

Surnames only indicate the paternal roots as far as I can see. My surname (Crosby) is a very old Scottish and English surname but some foreign blood must have got in there via the women in the meantime.
I haven't looked at a detailed family tree.

Surnames only indicate the paternal roots as far as I can see. This is true, also family histories can only be traced back a couple of hundred years for most folk. However, there was very little immigration between 1066 and the early 1950s and so if a family history search shows consistency of native parentage back until records began then it is unlikely that there would have been foreign blood introduced into a family line before that. As far back as I was able to trace, the females of the family were the familiar Mary, Anne, Sarah, Elizabeth etc.

Mums maiden name was Crosby..her mum was a Landymoor ...there was a village called that and everyone from that village was related..her dad was in the Black Watch regiment but dunno if he was Scots. Dad had darkish skin and grey eyes but not sure what went into his genetic mix up...always thought I'd like to know as his 'dad' cleared off....

Yes me me me me Sir.
I'm a furrinerβ¦..from Capetown.
My family hail from Wales - Newport area. Grandparents and their predecessors used to own a heavy haulage firm (nearly 100 years in the family.) Called Wynns Heavy Haulage, specialising in abnormal loads. Sold to Pickfords in the 60'sβ¦.unfortunately.
Look British but got a really dodgy accent.!!!
