So - I've just been to Argos to collect a chair leg that I ordered from ebay - This is the bit that surprised me. The fact that you made it home without being shot by armed police.

I have to admit, I'd not actually thought of it from his perspective...come to think of it, I like a drink... I like a lot of drink and I've NOTHING to blot out (well a side from being a ginner) .
Sorry Mr Stabby about the comment re. it being "you"... It never occurred that you might have been in that situation... nor anyone else here I suppose. I'll have to stop assuming everyone else has had as easy life as us.
Still can't decide What to do to help? - Perhaps a gortex jacket and some warm socks *goes riffling through Andy's wardrobe*...

I did. You were homeless. Plenty of people begging on the street with a bag and a dog, aren’t. Can I have your copy of the Daily Mail when you've finished with it? I could use it to light the stove. So is it your contention that no-one begging on the street with a bag and dog, actually has a home of some sort? Any evidence to support that unlikely contention? And if you are right, it seems very odd that there is not a single person in the U.K. who hasn’t spotted the career opportunity of being on the dole and supplementing that by some street begging? Or perhaps you think all people on the dole are just too lazy?

I get embarrassed when there is a minor technical glitch whilst using plastic, and have to try again.
There is no way I could publicly beg.
I suspect those begging feel very similar to myself regarding the humiliation.
I consider our role is to either give or not.
It is not our place to judge others for their choices.
