All these mixed up letters and numbers are confusing for us none mechanical types. It looks like a dyslexics convention. Rog Shapfell has a Vetus M213A but I think I would have preferred the M218A , same engine higher revs/pwr but of course that is Mitsubishi based not Kubota PS or even a M312A

Yes I've got a Kubota Marine twin its a 743cc twin so quite big. The Z482 which is a smaller twin were used in road sweepers and reefer fridge units.
Another one to look at would be a Lister LPW2, I had one in a 24ft heavy motorsailer once it was a great little engine. My big Genny is LPW3 driven that's also good.
Or a Volvo MD2?
Worth trying to find something out of a fresh water boat I would have thought if possible.

The D722 I had for my Colvic Fisher came out of a garden tractor. And did it give me a headache for a short while!

They are normally in good nick, the old giffers that drive them never tax them hard! You will need:- www.asap-supplies.com/thermex-manicooler-heat-exchanger-for-kubota-z482-226004I turned up an adapter to bolt the raw water pump to the crankshaft pulley on the D722, it isn't ideal as it runs a bit fast but hasn't been an issue in the real world. It would be better driven off the camshaft (like a 4107/8) or pulley driven at half engine speed like a BMC. An adapter plate, drive plate and wee Hurth 50 and you're good to go ππ»

If the engine has an alternator you could consider a 12v jabsco pump with a pwm speed controller and set it up to the correct flow rate for the engine.
I'm planning to do this as a backup on one of my boats.

I didn't have the luxury of one of those, a separate HX was used initially with a dry lagged tractor manifold to which I attached the water injection elbow. I'll post a picture of the water-cooled manifold when it was work in progress.

The elbow in the injection elbow connects to an elbow wound into the manifold. I did it blind from a gasket and ended up modifying it a bit, the drain had to go and the inlet hose tail moved to the other end to clear the starter. I had to lop the corner off to clear the alternator too. All fitted and working spot on ππ»

I bought a new manicooler for the old Beta engine 12 months before changing for a new Beta 43. Over Β£800 for the manicooler, and then the rings went anyway. Ho hum. I only mention this because for once I recognize a part you lot are talking about Rog
