I may have mentioned but I bought 8 x U27 XP12 batteries they are 138 ah, they are for the electric drive for the bathtub. I have todat made up a lead and connected an old XP lappy to talk to them, its all interesting stuff I have charged on up with an old car battery charger and then looked at the balance of the cells, they are all so close its not worth talking about. If I could buy one I could have a BMS to oversee all this tech stuff, but Valence wont program and sell me one . However other users have told me that they arnt needed and it would seem that they might be right. These are expensive toys and even secondhand they make you gulp but at 5000 cycles they should see me out so in the way of the world it should be a one time purchase. JohnV has also bought some and our conversations have been interesting to say the least, I suspect John will have his up and running properly before me for me, today has been very entertaining as I dont really like messing about with puters. Any way if anybody else has deep pockets and an experimental type disposition Jim still has some of them for sale..............

I'd be asking why someone is selling them if they are so good.

The eight of them cost me £2800 from a chap at Richmond mine have done as low as 17 cycles and one has done over a 100 so they are as new. Johns have done more so he has paid less which is fair enough. Jim bought loads of them and I mean loads, he has 8 on his boat and they are performing superb, I need this level of performance for the bathtub and the weight reduction is welcome as well, If I had bought new Leoch GTPs the cost would have been similar but the cycles are only 1500 so I took a gamble

Have been looking into the LiFePo for our potential new boat.

Our boat should have all the work done for BSS and insurance by 20th April, at which point we pay the cash and take over. We have a list of stuff to do..
