Ah, thanks. I'll pass on the photos then. Rog For clarity Linking to photos so they show up in here doesn't impact on Thunderboat's resources. Actually uploading them to Thunderboat does because the image is actually stored on the server. There is really no need to offer the latter and I have no idea why CWDF does.

I think the option to directly attach images is quite valuable to a forum as it is likely to generate more content and content is what forums need to be successful. That's how I see it anyway. I assume d9 pulled the direct hosting option due to fees. From a personal point of view I have been messing around with computers since I was 13 so I know how they work but I would still prefer to be able to directly add images to posts (my images I mean). Rog is a classic example. Perhaps he would have posted something already if he could but he hasn't. Extrapolated out that could mean a lot of lost content which may otherwise have been generated with people answering and commenting etc. My 2p

Money makes the world go around I'm afraid.

By the way, when I have been delving into the innards of Thunderboat, there are many photos now gone, not visible/hosted any more (not mine, as I've made sure that any time I have removed a photo from somewhere, such as my Google Photos account, I have also edited or removed the post). I could suggest other TB members trawl back through their old posts and have a clean up too. It's quite strange reading what people have written one to two years ago.

That's interesting I always use a phone but never considered that installing tapatalk might have advantages . It has it's fans. If you use several forums that are tapatalk enabled you can interact with them all in one place and of course insert pictures from your phone directly into your posts. I don't like it myself and only use it to upload photos to posts. To be more honest I just open a random thread, insert the pic and copy the link, but I could write and post the whole post in the right thread if I wanted.

Some of my older ones have vanished from there (and here) because I have exceed the free storage limit on Imgr or moved them around. Once that happens the link doesn't work.

oooh sweet, I like that, no faffing about. I always had to struggle to post from the phone. Now, take a pic, post it. I'm going to pay for tapatalk to remove the ads.

I see it as a last little spark of humanity before Facebook and the robots take over and change life as we know it forever. And how dare you call it drivel. It is highly informative information and intelligent debate.
