Talk about a triumph for the marketing industry!
I understand Irish interest, but since when did the world care about St Patricks day?
Almost more high profile than Valentines day (a marketing con in itself).
Come the 23 April will there be the same social media frenzy and encouragement to eat and drink out?

Rog a lot of the interest in Patrick's day is to with guiness. They have over the years very cleverly associated themselves. So it should be called have a guniness day.

I went to the pub friday it had Irish music, Irish dancing, Irish food and Irish hats. It was packed.
But why can't they celebrate it on st paddys day?
