Just been reading GG's post on 'tother side. Interesting, and I'm bloody sure she was spot on about not moderating CA. That could well have saved CWDF. I think she is also right that a lot of us will just be rare posters on the other side now, whatever they try and do. Once something has been spoiled for you it is not really possible to get it back, it always seems a bit ........ I don't know .... off maybe.

not strictly true, a whole thread disappeared this morning, though whether because I called someone a fuckwit or what said fuckwit posted remains a mystery. You were right to call him a fuckwit. The thread was removed because what he posted could cause legal problems. Since the forum started that is only the fourth post to be removed. Here at home I enjoy a level of free speech that apparently, according to Delta anyway, is not available in the UK. In what would be the wee hours of the morning for you all, I wrote a rather lengthy post about political assassinations, replete with references to the French Revolution. I also advocated Nuremberg-style justice for all those responsible for the Iraq invasion and Iraqi genocide. Delta removed the thread I started, and PM'd me that he felt what I wrote crossed the line in the UK. I apologized for posting the thread, and thought that would be the end of it. I certainly never anticipated that Delta would then come on here and call me names over a post that no one else would be able to judge on its merits, or lack thereof. I'll be the first to admit that, in some ways, my post was heartless and in poor taste. Political commentary is like that sometimes. My post was not yelling "fire" in a crowded theatre, nor did it advocate violence. It did bother Delta from the standpoint of what he says is allowable speech in the UK and I shall neither criticize nor argue with his decision. This "fuckwit" remark by him, however, is way out of line under the circumstances.

I read somewhere that our former Great Leader Tiny Blur might be looking at a war crimes trial.
Haven't laughed so much in ages. As if.
But anyway
Have we all been enjoying the summer weather and partaking of a spot of light boating?

All the posts that I have read of yours seem to have been well made and balanced. I can't imagine anything that you write could be offensive to anyone.

Yes, puzzled me too. Perhaps Delta could explain how it could have caused legal problems so that other members can avoid trespassing into the same area?

If I knew how to reclaim the post from cyberspace I would PM it to you, but I think it is gone forever, unless Delta has access to deleted threads.

Paul I wouldn't take it so seriously. You posted something( it was Emma who called you a fuckwit. When she asked about the thread being removed, delta told her why. I've had stuff removed because of legal issues, at the end of the day delta has to protect himself from any possible legal action. So it's his decision.
