Pretty much. Reading through the terms they sent him, I doubt they accept many bodies at all. I suppose they want bodies of people who were subjected to extensive medical intervention before death. That would make sense so they can have a look and see what the drugs did. I guess natural deaths are very boring. On the contrary, they want as intact and normal bodies as possible because they are used for anatomy teaching of medical students.

That seems odd as d9 suggested his dad died at home. Obviously its a bit personal but it seems odd for the university to refuse for that reason. And I had an idea that there were things other than teaching happening in universities .

My Dr son during his training had a dead body to dissect...took months and the RIP was kept refrigerated in between. At the end of the dissection son attended his cadavers funeral...... Some hospitals use computer generated programmes instead of corpses...

You might know I’m a Will Writer in my day job. We are regularly asked about donating bodies to science and have the guidelines etc to hand. I’m sure thay’s what they use the bodies for, they have to be preserved so I presume there is an optimum time for this and a death at home might mean that this is the reason for refusal. www.cardiffandvaleuhb.wales.nhs.uk/sitesplus/documents/1143/Body%20Donation%20Information%20Pack%202018%20PDF.pdf

They want bodies with no major defects and they want them within 24hrs of death, so if a coroner needs to get involved there is no chance.

Quite so, if there is a post-mortem needed the body is no use to the medical school.

It's all in your Soaraway Sun, eh, Andy? "So who is the real victim here? Where is the law? ? Threats have been made to their lives, why no police action? Just another example of the 'police' running scared, get back to your computers and do your searches, because out on the streets you are about as much use as a used tampon." "What a disgusting state of affairs that drive an innocent family from their home because of threats from the filth that caused the trouble in the first place" "In Austria's rural landscape there is a saying: "Nehmts die Wäsch' eine, die Zigeina komman", that is: (freely translated): "Take in the washing, gipsies are coming". In Slovakia, which I also know well, people don't talk anything, but unleash their dogs and load the shotguns." "It says a lot that the Police are unable to protect them. Not even capable of stopping the flowers which was direct intimidation."

It's not all that simple. I've been in a SIS meeting today and I can reveal (bearing in mind that this forum is not monitored by HM government) that the geyser who was supposed to have broken in to someones house was actually a FSB in-field operative. And the double barrelled Guinness man invited him into his house there was no forced entry. There was some confusion around the situation and it turns out that the geyser who escaped (whose real name is Mr Igor Orgovinsky) was the one who was supposed to be taken out at the time. The dead pikey was an electrician who was there to fix something with a screwdriver and to provide security cover for the FSB man.
Obviously as it's a Russian thing it is important to have a cover story when it inevitably all goes tits up. So they blamed it on pikeys, who everyone (even other pikeys) hate anyway.
win win except that the Russians seem to have a bit of a problem with actually killing people lately.
