I read super ging's post, now just come across a similar incident on analworld. A Man over Board kit was recommended, paper overalls, towel and space blanket in a ready to use bag. I have a space blanket in my day sack, towels on board, we have clothes too, however if it's a random stranger pulled out then there is no problem giving them a cheap paper suit to wear once out of wet clothes. Thought it an idea worth sharing.

Seems a good idea.
Personally if I witness anyone going in I wait for them to drown then check pockets fingers and wrists then I bugger off.
This is the problem with having no empathy.

Not really worth doing the teeth as it takes a while and increases the chance of being spotted by someone out "walking their cat".
And a lot of what look like gold teeth are actually just coloured to look like gold.

A ladder is handy.
Electric mobility hoist with suitable straps.
Apparently if someone is in the process of drowning it is a mistake to get closely involved with them because their instinct kicks in and they may well try to drown you during their attempt to save their own life.
Its apparently best to wait until they are incapacitated and then drag them out.
Thats what I have heard about the subiect anyway I don't know it its true but it makes sense.
Obviously if there are a lot of people helping then its less likely to be a problem as one of the people would be able to give the victim a slap and say "Oi don't do that !".
I would be very cautious it it was just me and the other person there.

I'm obviously doing them a disservice Rog

Something like the Jason's cradle FRC kit www.jasonscradle.co.uk/frc-kit/Unfortunately being targeted for the offshore O&G industry it is not going to be cheap

just to add in - a waterproof disposable camera would be a good idea ... so as to capture the fool provide photographic evidence if required lol... I didn't have my phone on me as we'd only gone for a quick tea and having only been together 13 (14?) years, we're still able to chat to each other in the pub ;-)

Leeds railway station.
"Full of persistent beggars There are too many beggars approaching travellers asking for change. This is quite annoying and uncomfortable and nothing seems to be done to deter it."
"30p to empty your own bladder... Leeds is a hell-hole. I recommend doing a #2 (if you really have to go); the station's always packed, with everyone pushing and shoving; you're unlikely to find a seat; and the ticket gates always spit out your [VALID] ticket. Crap food places (the usual McDONALD'S / KFCs) and a WH SMITH that sells overpriced e-liquids. Have a quick pint in Wetherpoon's and move along (as quickly as you can)..."
"The loos here are disgraceful As you may have surmised, not so much a review of the railway station but more a critique of its main toilets. The charge for entry to these hallowed portals is 40p which I do not berate at all...until you get in and realise no one has cleaned the facilities in what looks like months. Of the three cubicles on offer , one was engaged, one was covered in vomit and the other was blocked and full to the brim with 'dark matter' (not the cosmic kind). Whoever is charging for this 'facility ' should be made to take a dump there on a daily basis as punishment . Foul place. Avoid."

Well at least the paper overalls will come in useful if you go overboard in Leeds railway station...
