Greetings to all u very intelligent men..... Latest D-I-Y is 'helping' son with his van conversion.. On here we have a veritable wealth of knowledge and if anyone would like to estimate the thickness and dimensions of the aluminium angle pictured below I'd be grateful..it is for supporting a bed frame ..Ive tried using a ruler by looking at the way the guy is holding the piece of angle and then I thought that just maybe someone on here has converted a van and has an idea...If not no worries...we can guess....oh I know this isn't 'boat' but we r using some of the same stuff thats used in boats and I guess thats a good link..

My guess from watching the vid is 75x50 angle 5mm thick done by comparing the size of the 4mm drill with the edge and the 8mm drill is about 1/10 of the longer side of the angle.
It's only a guess.

It's not 5mm thick, more like 2mm. 👍 I'll go with 2"x3". There are probably free plans on the internet somewhere. (Ex steelwork designer and camper interior builder).

There's no need to guess Patty, if you ask the guy of this video Greg Virgoe, who certainly is a very nice, helpful and knowledgable guy, he will gladly reply and tell you whatever advise you need from him.
Peter.
