Set off today. There's a prize for the first person to say where I am now.

That looks like the Armitage Shanks factory - somewhere near Rugeley.

I was reading some Trip Advisor reviews this morning, having checked out the Royal Armouries online, and thought of you when I read a very rare bad review.
It said 'Terrible place. It's just stuffed full of hand weapons, spears, swords and stuff like that'

I always thought Christian Royalty were the best at beheading. Perhaps there is a Tripadvisor review that complains about poor spelling and gluttony by some past royalty (as well as beheading) about the Tower of London.

I was going to do the Caldon last year but changed my mind at Etruria Junction and went to the River Weaver instead. It was a brilliant trip, Anderton Boat Lift and all but this year it will be the Caldon. I'm between Fradley Junction and Armitage now, had a lazy couple of days with only short movements but I'll try to pick the pace up a bit now. My aim is to reproduce this photo, if I can I'll be chuffed to bits.

Do post plenty of pictures please mr stabby. I was born n bred in the area and go back and stay in a flat at Consall forge a couple of times a year. Good, cheap'ish food in the Lion.
Once through Etruria I doubt you'll find anyone that needs a good knifing....
