I'm putting a Refleks 66 in one of my boats. I will put a small (10 litre) stainless steel tank on the cabin top directly above the heater. Filled from a can or an electric pump from the main heating diesel tank which is a Guinness beer barrel I found but don't want to put on the cabin top. So I need to plumb in the fuel line including bulkhead fitting to go through the steel plate. I could either do this with ISO7840 6mm ID fuel line and hosetail fittings or do it all in 8mm copper which would require compression fittings. What is the best option? It seems to me that using the 7840 would reduce the number of fittings required and it could all be clipped down securely and follow bends smoothly but I also think copper might be a better option. I'm not sure. Help

When I did my roof tank for my Bubble & Webasto, I used copper all the way... Cant remember the pipe diameter now but sure it wasn't 8mm, 6mm sounds more like... Ill get my verniers out when I'm home in morning!

Yes maybe 6mm copper is OK - it uses very little fuel anyway. Thanks for that.

When I fitted Glembring on my previous boat I used 8mm copper, made fitting a filter and tap easy as that was what I had already. Phil

I happen to have 6mm ID 7840 hose and was thinking of fitting two separately valved inline fuel filters the type with hosetails on them. That way a filter could be cleaned while heater is still operating. the rubber hose would be the easiest way to do it the way I want to do it but I don't know if its OK for BS scheme. Its OK on the engine but not sure about on a heater. All double clipped with stainless pipe clamps.
