Hi all. I just want to say thanks for the help i have been given from you folk for advice on setting off on my own working on folks boat. I am sorry i have not been about much but i have been that busy i am grabbing a minute to show my appreciation Its not easy with full time work and trying to do my own boat but will be well worth it if it all caries on like this. I have had two jobs come from this forum in the last few months. Galley work and a recent near finished NB hatch which i am taking down next weekend and fitting once it is painted. Things are getting better by the month, most work is a distance off being down south but we ( Tracey that is ) dont mind but i get free digs on board. I am waiting for a BIG job much further away to see if anything comes off it so i have jumped the gun and got a new tool box. Not as far as the Jamaica job......if only but only offered 4 days work on a cracking old wooden sloop. So thanks guys, it feels like its really going to work. New tool box Better than that dam Berlingo and cost less to run

Im on Twitter as well..prefer it to face ache I only went on faceache because of a couple of closed groups for barges and workboats on the Humber especially 'cos I have met some of the working boatmen both still active and retired but I keep a low profile and have only 4 friends ..... and intend to keep it like that

It was worth all the hassle of getting off your berth and the journey.

I have already been here for much longer than I originally intended and have just made the decision that I am going to stay up here for another year. There are a lot of places that I want to try and get to in this area both inland and coastal and I have been told I can stay here on this mooring in the river for as long as I like.

No half measures with your new toolbox, weren't there any Roller's or Bentley estate cars for sale ?
I sounds that you are filling a hole in the market, and that there are plenty of folks that need your help.
Good luck with making this into an even bigger succesful enterprise Wayne.
Peter.

Sounds good John, let me know when your going to try and get to Nottingham, I'll try and get to meet you on my boat either at Nottingham or Newark.

Dont know how i am sooo calm lol. The tool box is poorly, i did break down afetr maybe 10 miles from the dealer, he came out and fitted another injector. worked a treat and off we went, then after 80 mile after booting it a little, not agreat deal just some cock up my backside when i was doing 75mph, it went into limp mode. OOoo pap i got the hard shoulder and turned it off which resett it. So from then it goes into limp when you give abit more juice to say overtake. I called the dealer and talked, i went to the local garge to plug it in, engine can not be recognised, so i went to a diesel specalist, same again. he said check the fuel filter for debri from the injector pump and hey ho. we reckon its on its way out. and it was serviced about a 1k miles ago lol metal fillings a sin the bottom of the top pic so a quicky reck and it could be £2k to fix if the injector pump has gone aswell as an auto sparky to see why it wont register on a diagnositc and then the diagnostic to see what fualts there are. It looks like a short but happy knowing it. LOl i knew i should of got a Granada Scorpio Estate again , simples car.

Hi Wayne, I'm really sorry to hear about your missery with the new toolbox, the junk in the fuel-filter doesn't look good. Repairing will be a costly matter, and quite possibly not even worth the bother.
I thought that those Jag's were disguised Ford's anyway, so probably better (if less fancy) to have a Ford in that case.
Best of luck with finding a more reliable new toolbox, as it's no good if you need to spend the money you just made on another one a bit too often.
Peter.
