It all makes sense. If Merkel, Junker and co were watching from their ivory towers, quaffing EU funded champagne, and saw the English boys making a great effort to stay in they would naturally thought that the wider population was joking.

Elite betting is probably killing off football along with other sports.

Would have thought it's Premiership money, it all goes on talent from abroad. Nothing inherently wrong with that but means that home grown talent doesn't get much of a chance it seems...
