without blowing smoke up your arse you turned out pretty good in the end... I know it was a long journey but the result is perfectly fine. The amount of people we tell about you and your tree climbing exploits you'd not believe!... I so wish we had a photo! Just on Saturday we were in the woods round skipton castle doing a treasure hunt with Andy's nephews and you came up. As for the "business" (as you all know we're not treating this as a business but a way of life anyway) NEXT year we've got 4 'fresh' bookings already and 2 we've had to move from this October into April - HOPEFULLY by then the water situation AND Marple lock will be resolved and we can honor them Good..cos to-day i put an offer in on a little place that ticked a load of boxes....near pub(but not to near), near the sea and boats, safe to leave when I go away...future looking bright so as soon as I'm sorted ref house can plan everything else.. Just no trees to climb..but can't have everything, there's always the Worms Head Ooohhhh do tell, you know my lips will be sealed!!!!

I think it'll be an ok, only real issue is not sure gonna get Ants long wheel base van round the back and so dunno where he's going to be able to leave it or work on it. Don't want it to put him off coming ..daughter says can't buy place with that a factor but it is as he's only got that van to sleep in ..no flat or room apart from my spare one. I guess as 'mum' we always look out for our kids whatever their age. I have my own plans which will possibly be easier to achieve by moving to this place...I see it as somewhere that will allow me more freedom to roam should I want to.

Leeds & Liverpool Canal Starts At: Lock 30, Holme Bridge Lock Ends At: Lock 13, Newlay Top Lock Friday 31 August 2018 10:00 until further notice Type: Navigation Restriction Reason: Water resources ________________________________________ Original message: As the recent rainfall has led to an increase in river flows which supply the East side of the Leeds & Liverpool canal, we are able to temporarily reopen the Leeds Liverpool Canal from Gargrave (below Lock 30) through to Newlay Locks (above Lock 13) under the following restrictions. If river levels recede again and pound levels cannot be maintained it will be necessary to consider a further closure. At Bingley Five Rive & Bingley Three Rise, starting on the 31st August, passages will be restricted to the following times. Passage down in the morning will be between 10am and 12pm. Passage up in the afternoon will be between 1pm and 3pm. These timings will restrict the number of boats that can use these flights and this will be managed on a first come first served basis by the lock keepers. Please liaise with the lock keepers once you are on site. We will continue to carefully monitor our water resources and update this notice as the situation changes; if the situation improves we will consider reopening the canal through to Leeds. In order to maintain this opportunity we would appreciate that boaters wait to share locks wherever possible, close all gates and paddles and do not to empty or fill a lock if someone else can make use of the water. You can view this notice and its map online here: canalrivertrust.org.uk/notice/13817/gargrave-below-lock-30-to-the-top-of-newlay-locks
