Not quite Peter, I ordered the Fertan they recommended before the drydock but there was only a few local spots around the rudder and a spot on the bow where it had been damaged ....However I tried the Fertan out above the waterline in a couple of places and disliked it intensely. I found it both a faff and ineffective. The best anti rust treatment I have found is Flag rust treatment which does not need washing off etc and is a primer as well. Keelblack as you say goes on very quickly, however using an airless sprayer is definitely the best method, I wish I had used one. As regards its longevity I will let you know when I have a chance to inspect it out of the water maybe next year. All indications at the moment are positive.
