I bet she makes nice cakes though I am more concerned by the reports of her "pumping up" her CV, especially when top people say she was not involved in this or that or "I have no recollection of her at any of those meetings" and what about this full disclosure of her financial dealings she promised before the selection process but have been mysteriously "delayed" I am not too keen on the idea of May as PM but I have even stronger reservations about Leadsom I know what you say John but I dont think May will deliver her husband is G4S and operates in Europe a real conflict of interests as well I dont think she will deliver what the outers want and a fudge will occur I suspect.

It's a real damning indictment on today's politicians that there is no one you can point to and say "I trust them and think they will do a good job for the country"

What we need is someone who see's through it and wants to do the best for the rest of us. Hmm....anyone?

If she does fudge it, and I suspect that's what will happen: the sometimes silent majority, who remained silent because they were told they were racist when they spoke, waited patiently for a democratic voice, will see democracy overturned by the elite. There will then be blood in the streets.

Now you know how it feels to have to choose between Trump and Clinton. When did having to choose between the lesser of two evils become the norm? ETA - I meant to quote John, oh well.................

I suppose the problem is being honourable is so out of fashion
The last minister that I can recall, whom I would have called an old fashioned, honourable politician was probably Lord Carrington.
He accepted the failings of his department.
He resigned his post accepting full responsibility (although released paperwork indicates him as being between a rock and a hard place) he had made mistakes but was not totally to blame but he accepted that as Foreign secretary the buck stopped there.
Unlike the norm for politicians nowadays, who have a few months on the sidelines and then are looking for a return ..... He meant it and stuck to it

this new cabinet is interesting, looks wise its like a red neck birthday party, full of inbreeding and throwbacks and some of the appointments are startling.
Bozo as foreign secretary should play well in the negotiations in africa, the land of picaninnies and watermelon smiles according to him.

A strange cabinet. Don't underestimate Boris though just because he plays the fool. He's a very shrewd and slick politician. Take the piss as much as any of you wish, but he is where he is, you ain't.

No I do think boris is quite clever, however I'm not sure the bafoon act will go down too well with some of the foreigns - some have no sense of humour (bit like CWDF). But most importantly I am delighted he is where he is and I am where I am - retired and, as of this evening, on the boat for 2 weeks hols. And personally I wouldn't have got out of bed for a cabinet member's salary vs workload.

Yes, does seem a strange choice. However, prince Philip seems to have managed ok over the years.

Brexit has not really got off to a good start has it? All confusion and flustering. Three weeks already and it all looks like a birthday party balloon that's dropped in the canal. The usual dithering and back-stabbing. Has Scotland gone away yet? No? Still sucking at the English teat? I do see the Welsh are getting on famously with their own language, they seem to be a genuinely pleasant crowd, polite, and time to talk to you. What good is French.... Welsh should be the second language for the English! hehe newyddion pobol y cwm pen cei
