The Gurkhas or Gorkhas are a brave loyal group of people having served Great Britain for 200 years. Perhaps site staff could change the spelling of the title to honour these brave fighters.

Nine posts and already you think you should be in charge. We don't have no stinkin' site staff here and we don't need any moderators here - not even wannabe pretend ones! There's no ass for you to kiss here. If you want to be one of the boyz you are more than welcome. If you want to be a worm that pisses and moans to a mod every time someone offends your delicate senses, you're in the wrong place. Sorry to come across like a dick, but it was exactly this kind of shit that ruined cwdf and it might as well get nipped in the bud here!

PaulG2 having lived with Gurkhas they have my total respect and honour and if I have to bear the remarks you posted to get them honoured correctly so be. As for being a mod forget it not interested. Just respect for those that have earned it by helping to protect this country etc over the last two hundred years. You are being a Dick

What you going on about ? tell us more Same question, Tad. Do tell what is so bad about it. the only story I ever heard about Gurkhas on parachute training was the one when a group were told they were to be trained to jump out of a plane, they were very unhappy about it .....at least until it was explained to them that they would have parachutes

The Gurkas soldering abilities are a big myth, the whole loyalty, and bravery thing is a tale to cover up the fact that they are a bog standard infantry regiment, other regiments are loyal and brave as well. We are employing Nepalese peasants while making out own blokes redundant, which is an odd way to recruit.

Yes we had the Gurkha Signals able chaps as I have said in previous posts. They are very good soldiers and in Jungle warfare far better than our infantry. My jungle warfare course was conducted with a fair number of Gurkha soldiers doing the training.
