Well I'm one remainer that believed our financial industry would collapse if we voted out (lies told by remainers).
I was stunned that we voted out and feared the worst.
But the world continued, the ftse 100 and ftse 250 remained strong for most of the last two years, and all is well.
Time for a political leader to step forward, strong enough to take us out.
We shouldn't be looking back to past votes, but moving forward ready to make our way in a brave new world.
I'm actually beginning to believe the EU may need us more than we need them.

Well, I have to go and write fucking Christmas cards now. Back later Why not just get an inkpad and rubber stamp? You could then put a similar amount of thought and originality into your friends xmas cards as you put in your 'cut n paste' posts on hereπ

Having watched and listened to Corbyn over the past few months, I've come to the conclusion that he has no bottle, or for that matter any intention of becoming PM. I think he prefers to sit in opposition ranting and raving, because he has no ideas on how to do a PM's job. I think the position is far and above Corbyns capabilities. Labour should be looking towards removing him before the next election. Even though the Tories are known as the nasty party, and have caused considerable controversy recently, come election time their supporters will be the ones to make a point of voting. The lefties will just continue blubbing on Twitter, Facebook, and the internet. (and at times, on this forum).

Foxy is generalising. I hope he doesn't mind me putting words into his mouth but I think this is the gist of his thinking: Remainers tend to have jobs where they don't compete with cheap imported labour. So, in a growing economy their wages rise, due to the law of supply and demand. Kerching! Meanwhile the other 50% or so of the population (Brexiteers) tend to have jobs where they are likely to be working alongside Poles, Lithuanians etc. Foreign workers are happy to work for lower wages than Brits therefore the tendency is to depress wages in these sectors. This is a double kerching! for remainers, as they can go and have their posh meals etc. at a relatively low prices, as the foreigners and Brexiteers working there are paid a pittance. This is pretty much spot-on. Eastern European hauliers have completely taken over the British continental transport industry due to the cost advantages of operating from countries with post-Communist economies, and only French, Dutch and Belgian trades union action has kept cabotage restrictions in place against the eu's desire to remove them, whereupon virtually all UK domestic road transport would be undertaken by Romanian and Bulgarian hauliers. As an employee in the road transport sector I have naturally opposed this, much as a coal miner might oppose outsourcing the local pit to Poland, but as an ardent Thatcherite it's exactly the sort of thing that Jim would support.

Jim its the remainers that are making us a laughing stock! Us brexiteers would have started prep 2 years ago to leave, whereas you lot have spent 2 years trying to stop it right, bunch of wankers you lot are FFS! Β The most prominent Brexiters immediately made themselves scarce after the vote, and have come up with no practical suggestions on how to proceed. I have not noticed any Brexit supporting MPs asking questions about recruitment of Customs officers, increasing the Fisheries Protection fleet or building new motorways for "Operation Stack". they are already planning on employing loads of customs officers for southampton port.i can't believe were the only port to do so.

i think we either need a string leader who can tell the EU what we want or we walk.
if they carry on like they are I would tell em we are just walking away and call their bluff.

as the main topic seems to be the job market maybe retired people should not be allowed to vote. Ironically children are not allowed to vote but it is they who will feel the effects in their adult life.Β Β No-one (apart from me!) has mentioned that it was rather unfair that BRITS living abroad were not allowed to vote.Β Why not? Because they read the Daily Mail! Online.

Well as string leader can certainly rope us in, probably spin us the same old line, tangle us in knots till we've lost the thread. While they risk being pulled in 2 different directions they certainly won't be pushed around.
