Cutting ice round a narrow boat with chainsaw.
Hmm.
Yes that is more of a technical search there.

Cutting ice round a narrow boat with chainsaw. Why would you even do that? How would you hold such a dangerous tool? How would it help? When we were iced in (-6 Centigrade Thrupp 31st Dec 2014) I used the boat pole, banging it into the ice around the boat so that we could start to rock the boat and push it out sideways. We then drove forward rocking the boat, to get to the water tap. After this we soon realised battling against ice was too hard, and waited for a longer, heavier boat to pass us and smash it all up for us.

Maybe the video was removed for elfin safety reasons "do not do this at home"

I used the boat pole, banging it into the ice around the boat. I've got a Grand Junction Canal Company ice podger. Just thought I should mention that.

No it's a wrought iron tool which was previously attached to a long wooden shaft and used for breaking ice and moving ice sheets around specially near locks.

That reminded me of a Posser, used with a dolly tub, pre-electric washing machine days. Just about remember my Mum using one. Eh, we were poor, but we were happy!
