I have won a lot of money betting on Brexit and Trump winning, I stand to trouser a lot if we do a no deal brexit and I do think thats the way the wind is blowing Well I hope you lose this bet. That will cost an awful lot of people their jobs. You dont know that? At the moment the EU is doing shit half of it is totally bankrupt, others are looking to leave. its a failing empire that the majority of voters dont want to be tied to. I think the Government is scared of trying to stop Brexit and we will just slide out with no deal or a an 11th hour deal when the EU realises we are going. Yes we are going to have to man up, German/french/Italian cars will be to expensive so will gradually disappear, but thats no bad thing as we make the most reliable cars here! Things will change but if anybody says they know how they would be lying, because the predictions when we voted were all wrong so for most its just more project fear

We have no Uk owned mainstream car producers in the UK, do we? The foreign owned ones here will quite likely move away. Then the only cars we will be able to buy will all be more expensive. I no longer care whether we stay or remain. I do not though want a no deal, it will be a disaster for many!

"My feeling is that we are still heading towards an impasse at which point parliament will want to put a stop to the process. I don't think they have the balls to simply cancel the article 50 process which the ECJ says that they can"
-well, no, they can't. The UK voted to leave the EU. The ECJ means nothing to us anymore, nothing at all. I would totally ignnore anything they have to say.

We're not far off the point where we'll have to stop doing less trade anyway, environmental pressures will see to that. Why not be world leaders once more, create our own mini recession. All this bullshit about cars, nobody will be driving round in them soon anyway, especially those monstrosities that have become all the rage. Let's lead the world once again. Rule Britannia!

I think environmental pressures will affect us all a lot sooner than we think. I’m already planning on replacing the engine with a horse. As regards ‘Rule Britannia’, we are well and truly a multi-cultural country now. We can still lead by example though by coming up with a system where we stop buying crap we don’t really need and move towards a more sustainable existence. Sadly I suspect it will take a few very serious world disasters before we pull the pendulum back. In the meantime I guess it’s la la la...

I think a recession would be quite a good thing. Knock property prices back to a sensible level, make more things in UK, live more cheaply with less "disposable income". All sensible but I reckon there are too many short term vested interests involved so it will be stopped and we'll remain on the train until it gets to the broken viaduct then we're all screwed.

Why will they move? if the cars stop coming in from the EU the cars we buy will be from those makers in this country its simple economics for them, its cheaper to sell here than ship them abroad. I run a Honda and a Toyota they are without a doubt far better than Jaynes Merc in every way, Nissan at Sunderland make the best cars in the Nissan empire, we have waiting lists in this country for the leaf of 6 months, if we didnt have those uptake on electric cars would be far faster. As I said before nobody really knows what will happen when we leave but project fear has gone into overdrive to make us think they do

I am removing the diesel engine from Joyce even as we speak, the electric system is ready to fit as well, everything has been bought to fit it anyway

My latest car is English. My motorbike was made in America, not a bloody Harley though. I can’t see how anyone can say no deal is gonna be good for the UK in general. I accept some won’t be affected, but many will be. Anyways, I’m off to play in the sun whilst it’s still shining.
