If you think that's bad check out the prices of the Yam fs1e or Honda monkey bike.

Actual ‘detail filled’ advert .....For sale in Chorley, which may explain the spelling! 🙄 “Raleigh Wisp 50cc No log book engine runs still on dvla dater base” All I am saying is that the coil is probably past it. They degrade over time whether you use them or not. That it still has a spark is not a definitive test. Still, an engine that isn't seized is a good thing. It reminds me of a Raleigh Shopper with an engine added to it. Or maybe a Raleigh Shopper was the moped sans motor. No problem sourcing a brand-new coil for a Raleigh Wisp. www.classicmopedspares.com/mobylette-motobecane-moped-novi-replica-internal-low-voltage-tension-coil-for-ignition-5504.html

Came across this pic today. Engine and at least part of the frame are a Honda Express.

Someone has been doing some quite delicate welding (or brazing?) There !
I think a better approach for a chopper would be to make it electric with a hub motor that way you'd keep more of the original bike. Not that its an old one so I suppose it doesn't matter.

Found this little blast from the past earlier today.
Honda seem to have stopped just short of saying "Here's our new moped for women" but you can tell that's what they are getting at.

I've always liked Honda steppeys, this one has been carved up a bit but tastefully done. I like the fact the original bars and light cluster arrangement has been binned and the swingarm appears to be a custom job.

For a brief period, I have all three of my babies together. The one in the middle, Sam's 1980 Honda Express Deluxe will hopefully be going for its first MOT since 1989 next week.

Won’t need an mot soon. Just one more, it will be MOT exempt from 1st April 2021. Although for £30 it's worth having a proper motorcycle mechanic giving it the once-over just in case I've missed anything anyway, it's been off the road for a long time and I don't pretend to be anything more than an enthusiastic amateur.

It does stand out in a crowd... It certainly will do with that coiffured psycopath riding it, waving his weapon and Yorkie about Rog
