First terrapin I have seen this year. Should of painted ‘narrow escape’ on its back and claimed the 10 points….Fool! 🙄 That would take effort from Mr CBA

Lovely day here in Barmouth, if a bit hot. I've spent the afternoon under a tree chipping away at the mortar on some old tiles then wire brushing/ sanding them clean. The things we do for a bit of beer money eh.

Got to drive in and out of London again today so can't just sit around in the sun which is slightly annoying but one of the side effects of having children! You could always drive to the nearest Railway Station and catch one of the trains the plebs are leaving empty.

It's a shit job but somebody has to do it. Drains in for new downstairs toilet, knocked the outside extension on the head, easier to pinch a bit of internal space. The toilet has a washbowl on top of the cistern, recycle the water to flush. Building inspector coming to sign off the drains in the morning, then I can fill the hole and pave it.

Made it through to Kidsgrove (without dying from heat exhaustion... actually was a good run with 3 boats all supporting each other by way of the double/paired locks) - that is the last of the really hard sections done now until Tring is reached.

Actually this week there have been reports of significant increase in plebs on trains due to something happening about people having to go to work. Obviously this sort of thing is outside of my sphere of understanding but trains are a lot busier of late apparently.

. The toilet has a washbowl on top of the cistern, recycle the water to flush. That's a cool idea. Just got back to the ranch so I imagine at some stage I will stumble into the floating electric beer drinking platform and lose all the bullshit in my head for a bit.

I found 'heartbreak hill' easy, even on a roasting day last year, enjoyed the peace and walk between locks.

My preference is a lock every two miles...
