Decided to cruise a little as it was only light drizzle by noon. Moored and had a walk, calling at the bookshop and cafe in the old barracks. Cake and books too ... fabulous. Rog

Another boring day in Pete's shed finally reaches beer o' clock. Rubbed down and touched up some of the signwriting, which has improved it although it was done quite badly by a previous owner so it's never going to look great. Really, I'd like to get it professionally signwritten but I expect it would be very expensive whereas I am very mean.
Should be quite a bit of work being done tomorrow and then hopefully out on Tuesday, which thankfully is payday as I'm not expecting much change out of £1,000 from Pete. He's still silly cheap though by boatyard standards. Next job to do once I'm back on the mooring is to re-paint the coachlines. I did it not long after I bought the boat and it massively improved the appearance and it's not a difficult DIY job.

They would suit your tight budget. A good sign writer is really exspensive and hard to find a good one.

When I priced it up just for the six letters of our name a figure of £200 to £300 was suggested.
The vinyl letters and boat number for each side was £50.
Thought I'd give it a go, thinking if we're not happy we can get a sign writer later.
But it's been three years and the vinyls still look very clear, no drying or curling and I'm very pleased.
I'd prefer a sign writer job, but when all's said and done it's just a holiday boat and the vinyl does the job.

Found a reasonable mooring for Dulcinea in the trees. No access by foot currently but I have the fleet auxiliary launch and the small tender so it should be okay. In theory. I see the ghost ship needs a ha'peth of tar. I'm waiting for better weather. Thats my excuse and I am sticking with it. People will go past thinking 'That Boat has been there for months' when in fact it only arrived yesterday !!

Mine became all about guitars and amps ... must have thought 'this guy's got some spare cash'. I'm easily led. Rog

Rog Dave Moore did ours for silly money a good few years ago-when he said the price-we thought at first it was for one side ! Think he did a good price as we'd both been teaching in the same authority. It was great watching him do the chalking out without any measuring. We're both involved with Lyneal trust boating for disabled or vulnerable folk.Their boats have vinyls & one boat has just been repainted with new vinyls. The firm is in Ellesmere where we live & is called 'The Signtists'.They do a fab job & their vinyls last well !

I've been getting adverts for pensions for ages however as I now have Brave browser I no longer see any adverts at all. nothing because they know their shit and block it all. Free browser no account needed. It really works I have had it a few months now. A revolution.

Like any other browser available to the general public, . . yours wasn't designed and doesn't function as an anonymous refuge for on-line nutters whose behavioral characteristics appear to meet all the criteria for sectioning under the MHA.
