Had a sightseer and some enquiries. Better than no interest at all ! It seems like a fair price, but your looking for a certain kind of person. Good luck. I'll give it a couple of months then give it away. My oldest friend on the River is interested in it and he's 79. He won't last forever so we would do a deal where I get it back when he can't do Boats any more. Could be interesting but better to sell it for sensible money really. Its a lovely Boat. I've known said friend for 33 yars so I do trust him.

I’d still get it in writing, because after he’s gone what’s to prove you had an arrangement? Especially if he’s got living relatives. Better to sell it as you say. Someone will like it as much as you, it’s just finding them.

Moored at Watford in the park ... inside M25 now. Lovely until we moored for breakfast when we had a short heavy shower. Good timing 👍🏻 Rog

Beware of wolves in that area! If you take the footpath from bridge 168 towards Watford Tube station, you will know why.
They are behind a fence (for now...), can you can loop back through the park.

Had a sightseer and some enquiries. Any fender kickers? Or tooth suckers?

Found my orbital sander and finished off rubbing down the roof before giving it a coat of white primer. The topcoat (County Cream) is on order and should arrive towards the end of the week so I'll start applying that next weekend, weather permitting.

Its a lovely Boat and nothing wrong with it but my other Boat is more comfortable to live on. Having two Boats to live on gets complicated.
I'm going fully NFA and nomadic so the fleet needs to be reduced big time. I already got rid of the lovely podium launch. That was also a great Boat but it was helping prevent me doing what I need to do.

Whatever happened to your Monaco based Beneteau ocean going cruiser and its crew of underpaid / overworked sea-Kaffirs that you employed?🤷🏻♂️

Good lunch at the Nelson in Braunston today. Sat by lock watching the boats pass through. An old pair with very old crew came through and used the ropes, tied to the gate handrails for opening the gates. Is this ok? Is this how it was done in days home by? Did gates even have hand rails originally? Yesterday, my attention was drawn to the above post, . . and to the laughable replies it's elicited from some of the handful of know-nothing Thundergoons who want to put even more of their profound igorance on public display, . . again ! The answers to the above three questions are - Yes, Yes, and Yes, . . as can be seen from a careful look through this CWDF topic at the series of photo's showing John Henry Meese, with a two-handed pair of Willow Wren's, using mast lines to pull open the bottom gates going down Stoke in 1966 :- www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?/topic/73063-working-boats-at-stoke-bruerne-in-1966/John Henry and Mrs Meese are filling the locks behind them for their son-in-law Ronny Green with 'Aldgate' and 'Brighton', . . also working two-handed, and pictured elswhere in the topic, coming above Stoke top lock, just outside of the Museum.
