67 blimey don't fancy getting that old !
Left leg is already terminally fucked so I can't imagine what it might be like in 17 yars' time.
Family history of short lives by accident or design.
I'll probably get run over by a coach and be found by a man out walking his cat.
I was very nearly flattened by a truck once already. Within an inch or two.

What are these added goodies.
Please compare someone on pension credit and someone on only the state pension.
Pension credit: Free NHS dental treatment, free transport for hospital appointments, discount on glasses, free replacement boiler or full heating upgrade, access to 'social' energy and broadband tarrifs, free council tax, cost of living payments, assistance with mortgage costs or rent payments. All of those are means tested, available to any low income person - unless I'm mistaken.

All of those are means tested, available to any low income person - unless I'm mistaken. Some may be but entitlement to pension credit guarantees qualification for all who claim this benefit. Those on a low income for example, may be entitled to the warm home discount scheme, which results in lower energy bills. But only if the applicant is entitled to and claiming selected means tested benefits, and the property they live in has a high energy cost score. If they don't qualify on either score they will have to contribute towards the discount given to those on pension credit, via their bills, like everyone else. This isn't really an incentive to work your whole life in a low paid job, resulting in you having little in savings. Better not to work and contribute in some respects, and be guaranteed a host of additional benefits on 'retirement'.

We also enjoyed a pleasant cruise and then a lovely walk around Harefield.
The sky has occasionally looked threatening, but it's remained dry and largely sunny all day 👍🏻
Need to get upto Rickmansworth now as we're overdue a laundry visit.

Handed in my notice at work today. They've brought in a new electronic Proof of Delivery system and I just can't get my head around it at all. Like I told them "You can't teach an old dog new tricks". 99.9% of transport companies still use pen and paper delivery notes so I'll go and work for one of them. Or maybe go cruising.

Seems a shame if it's a work place you're settled with Mr Stabby ... but obviously you're not so settled thanks to the new system. Did you get the welding done ? Back to the 'bank' ? Rog

Every single transport company in Rugby needs drivers. Mugs who are prepared to do the job are in very short supply, kids nowadays have got more sense. Sill done, superb job, you can't see where the panel was welded in.

On the basis that lentils are a) cheap and b) last virtually forever on the shelf, it seems to make sense to consume them sometimes. So I have found a variety of lentil burger recipes on t'web, all of which have been published by rabid vogons. I will give the most promising one a try a bit later. So anyway... did the veggie burger recipe, although I decided to make vogon 'meatballs' with it. Have to say it's a great success, but there's no way you could mistake them for actual meatballs. Also the prep time was quite long and I also made what I can only describe as a tittyfucking mess in the kitchen. Didn't take too long to clear up though. Definitely the most appetising thing to do with lentils I have yet found. The recipe called for brown lentils and these are sooooo much better than the red ones we are mostly more familiar with. In case anybody is interested, which I doubt very much, here's the recipe I mostly followed. sarahsvegankitchen.com/recipes/lentil-burgers/
