I like lentils but I don't care for them much. Right. The idea is to find ways of combining lentils, fairly dull and not entirely palatable, with other things. If you give it one of your really big thinks the light may dawn. Yes, they do that in India. It may come as a surprise to you but dhal isn't just lentils.

HTH. You won't have experienced it, unless you've been to India. You should go sometime, if you get the chance. Not just to taste dhal. Or other foods actually. There's a lesser tendency towards bigotry, for those who have experienced difference.

Guess what, shithead...I've been. I like curry. But this is about doing things with lentils that isn't dhal or lentil curry. Get that. I am contemplating making bread with flour made from lentil. A bit like bread made from rice flour. I bet there's a recipe on the web.

Not at all. It's never bad to have experienced things. Opens the mind, they say. There's always an exception to the rule Not at all. Wide experience is bound to make you think differently. That's the point. Only a really narrow minded person would expect that wide ranging experience of different ways of doing things around the world would result in the person experiencing this deciding that the failing system at home is the very best system, and that belief in any other system is a sign of moral bankruptcy.

Yes at all. Although you certainly think differently. No question.

Yes at all. Although you certainly think differently. No question. If you doubt the failure of your preferred large government system: The elephant in the room isn't even on the agenda. So called social care accounts for 69% of council spending in England. It's seriously underfunded. Demand is going to rocket over the coming years as the baby boomers age further. In my preferred system so called social care is taken care of within the family and community and where cases slip through the net, charity. People are charitable by nature, most especially if they don't feel they have already paid for something, via high government taxes. Your system is a busted flush. People claim they want a large government and the services it brings, but aren't prepared to vote for politicians who understand and reflect the cost of this within their policy. Debts racking up for future generations to worry about, day on day. That's without even thinking about the elephant in the room.

Lentil burgers to capitalist failure in one easy motion. Just wow. And leave Nellie out of this.

Lentil burgers to capitalist failure in one easy motion. Just wow. And leave Nellie out of this. Lentils are very popular with socialists, poisonous to the hard far right.

Dhal is great. I preferred the food in the south though. More spicy. Idly and poori for breakfast with spicy, sweet and astringent dips. Difficult to beat.

I wander lonely with my cloud Sometimes silent sometimes loud Sometimes rough and sometimes gentle A whiff of friendship, love and lentil.
Not one of my poems I must hasten to add.
