I see no end to this virus malarkey nor any suggestion of an aim, target or goal. Unless like War of the Worlds the virus is killed off over winter by other germs, it looks like travel, even within the UK is going to be restricted. We'll have to wait and see what happens over the next three to six months. Rog I’m pinning my hopes on people getting so fed up with the whole virus thing, that they kind of rebel. As your link to the details of the BBC health item shows, it really isn’t that deadly.

And given the level of dissent shown by Manchester's civic leaders, it has a good chance of occurring up there.

Another anniversary tomorrow for us. Ali is very good at remembering dates of everything that we ever did together. We seem to have more anniversaries than most...Anyway, 40 years ago today we went on our first date. We were very young. Luckily, back in those days underage drinking hadn’t been stamped on. We went to the dog and trumpet in Coventry. Had a great night and here we are now. Tomorrow we are going for a meal at a restaurant just a short walk from the Ashby. For some reason it’s a place we have not been to before, in fact hadn’t heard of until recently. I like it when I find a new place to visit. 40 years ago I drank cider or Guinness when celebrating. Tomorrow will be ale and/or wine. Over the years my tastes have changed a little. But still have the same woman 😍

Just that people will follow their own instincts. I certainly am.

We'll have to wait and see what happens over the next three to six months. Rog This is an incredibly sensible suggestion bearing in mind that nobody appears to have conquered forward time travel yet. Well at least if they have they are keeping it under wraps pretty well. I do it all the time.

Forward time travel is our normal state, it’s going backwards in time that no one has managed yet.

Dark now when I get up at 7am ... that'll change next Sunday when the clocks go back. The nights close in as the turn of the year approaches at an alarming rate ... I'm sure it doesn't seem to happen so clumsily when we're on the boat ... in the house I suppose we're more detached from natural light ... a bit like being daylight for walking, but jump in a car and you turn the headlights on. The forecast seems to be fairly mild for the next couple of weeks ... hope you hardy all year boaters are getting ready for 'winter draws on' Rog

The forecast seems to be fairly mild for the next couple of weeks ... Not in northern & central Finland - sudden drop in temperature - lots of people have been caught out with Summer tyres on - already snowed in Lapland and that 'band' as far south as Oulu - and where we were yesterday passing through Ilmajoki there is already thick snow on the roads. Rain forecast for here for tomorrow morning = black ice? Pirkko suggested I change the wheels today, and looking at the News/forecast just now on the telly I think we've made it in the nick of time. Summer wheels now in the bathroom warming up for an hour before I wash them. Studded Nokias now underneath my bottom

I've had a better day.... Blood tests revealed cause of tiredness/exhaustion and I've reorganised my life to a certain extent Family have been informed that I'll be looking after me first from now on...I surprised myself with how tough i was. Freya and I wandered slowly along the beach, I am fortunate that I have a puppy that is not turbo drive..she is content to amble at my pace, to stop, sit and watch the World go by. We will get more energy but there is no rush. I am also lucky that I am content with my own company ..peace n solitude is what I need right now.
Son seems to be recovering from Covid though 'crunch time' is a few days away. Grandson and sons ex partner isolating waiting results of second test...first inconclusive(think Iggy probably didn't co-operate) My test negative so I just have the other to deal with.
I will get there..as hospitality in Swansea due to close for the 'circuit break' I have nearly 3 weeks to rest and get myself back on track...I''m optimistic.

Beautiful sunrise this morning. Isn't it typical ... day off so no alarm clock and I still wake at 7am ... still the sunrise was worth it Rog

was a spectacular sunrise here as well Rog, saw it as I was driving back from my early morning supermarket run (always virtually empty at 0700)

What is sunrise? Sun's out now, it will be dull and overcast by Wednesday down here.
