I have been in Thorne today, apparently yesterday people where fighting over bottled water. Amazing how quickly the thin veneer of civilization disappears.

A good quality portable water filter might be a good investment!

Slow sand filters with activated charcoal are the way to go. No exspensive hard to get filter elements to replace.

Yes silver is good, but not the only option. Slow sand filters are the best low tech post apocalyptic choice.
