But someone randomly asking you to vote on their behalf whilst they're out of the country isn't the proper way. You did right to say no Rog

I would have thought they would of done everything in their power to get them to vote. Probaly fake news anyway. Anything to stir up the social media Anyways you dont need the card to vote. Just rock up they have the details there. I rarely take mine as I can never find it. Many turned up to vote without their card, as I did. However because they hadn't signed the right form because it was withheld they weren't on the register. So lets not have fake fake news. Not fake fake at all. I questioned what you wrote. I dident cast anything as fact Because you left some of the story out I went and read the article and you would have noted my following post reflected that. It will be interesting to see why they weren't on the register. Then we can see if there is an agenda or not

The sheer stupidity of the average Remoaner. This appeared on my Facebook news feed yesterday...
"Thinking very long term, eventually the sun will get old and kill us all unless we all get together and figure out how to escape. Without global cooperation we cannot pool enough resources to even stand a chance of saving our species and maybe thousands of others. Brexit is a small thing but it stands in the way of that".

I'm not on Facebook, but Stabby's comment brought this to mind. Where shall we go?

Humans may eventually have to think of their future. It is not going to be easy unless you can really master genetic engineering and can decide what you want.

Perhaps you could write some poetry so that you will be remembered by future generations?

"The fact that you're here, in the midst of all this nothing, is pretty amazing when you stop and think about it." I scrolled to the end

I liked that!... I got as far as 4.5 billion km ... before I ran out of time! I particularly liked these sentences: "With so much emptiness, aren’t stars, planets, and people just glitches in an otherwise elegant and uniform nothingness, like pieces of lint on a black sweater?"
"You might say that so much emptiness makes the tiny bits of matter that much more meaningful - simply by the fact that, against all odds, they aren't empty. If you’re drowning in the middle of the ocean, a floating piece of driftwood is a pretty big deal."
"It seems like we are both pathetically insignificant, and miraculously important at the same time."That last one holds good for us.

What I don't get is that if heavy atoms (Gold, Uranium, etc.) are made in supernovas (supernovii?), with the Universe being only 13 billion years old, how did they have the time to coalesce and, eg. form veins in the crust of the Earth? That kind of matter can't travel at the speed of light, and even if it could it would take much longer than a mere 13 billion years to form pools of like atoms.
What will humans do when they finally get to inhabit Jupiter's Callisto? Drop litter and let their dogs poo all over the place?
