I'm interested to see how it all pans out as Im sure lot of people voted tactically to express opinion.... I am equally sure I won't have to search for results as folk will no doubt put their views and opinions up on here At times this forum educates, provides facts and valid comments.....At Times..not always..in fact............

Sorry, this was the pic I was going to put up. patty, just posting facts. I'm sure people will make from that, what they want to to suit whatever agenda they have.

What is telling is a party that was started 6 weeks ago was able to have such a big vote.
It's never happened before.

And still the likes of Emily Thornberry sat there last night and called for another referendum, she just doesn't get the message. Surely last night must be a wake up call for both Tories and Labour but no there are still mumbles and muttering for remain. And the Change party are so deluded that they are claiming a huge success despite getting NO SEATS!, the same as UKIP and Tommy Robinson Phil

I’m just mystified that some people are trying to make out that the results show the population are still 50/50 on remain/Brexit.
Surely it’s obvious that everyone who voted for the Brexit party want out and nobody knows whether the rest voted for another party for Brexit reasons or otherwise.
My guess is that those who voted for another party are 50/50 on Brexit which would make the overall percentage of those who want to leave the EU much higher than 50%. Perhaps as much as 75%.
What is clear to me from this is that the traditional party politics we’ve had to put up with up to now is no longer fit for purpose. Labour and the Tories have wasted too much time with in fighting and have lost focus on the needs of the electorate.
I think a general election would be the best thing now as the public are basically saying we have no confidence in the current government.

I think the Lib Dems message 'bollocks to Brexit' is pretty clear so it's fair to say that they, along with Plaid, Greens and SNP are votes for 'remain'.

I think it would be wrong to believe that everyone only voted tactically for or against Brexit. Surely if that was the case more remainers would have voted for Change. Certainly the Green party are getting more popular as time goes on because more and more people realise we’re screwing up the planet (which is more important than Brexit and the usual traditional party bollocks we’ve had to endure for years).

All that said, the turnout was only 37%. So what about the 63%, couldn't be arsed or disillusioned with politics. I think it's time for an extra box on the polling form, 'None of the above'

Once again interpretation of results supports whatever view you take.
I don't see where the EU election results (elections we should have played no part in) progresses the political situation one jot.
It appears a slim majority want out, but our parliament and politicians want in.
Any ideas what happens next, because it looks like this issue is controlling the agenda with no end or resolution in sight.

You could be right. Saying that though during the lead up to the elections there was no talk of anything other than Brexit. I think it's very likely that many (most?) who voted did so based on their of Brexit. As for Change (No change) this lot are a reincarnation of Blair's government, centrist to the core, hardly likely to do well when the electorate are so polarised.

Maybe politics is actually less effective on our lives than politicians realise. After all, other than manipulate words, what else do they actually DO?
