Well I had my boat Zingered and then Zinger blacked over a year, For various reasons I have had to dry dock it.
I can safely say the zinger has worked no rust at all and very little wear on the anodes. I will give the boat some more protection whilst its out [it makes common sense doesnt it?] but in reality I think the five years I had planned between docking is about right.

Shot blasting dry dock new anodes everything 3K, I bought twice as much zinger and blacking as I needed by accident but have car uses for it so not bothered. with the correct amounts it would have been about £300 ish cheaper. However you look at the boat and you know with cheap blacking in a year the waterline is rusty mine is perfik

I see the midget plumber took a right proper pillorying on the Recent Events thread by several members before the thread was locked. I wonder if the criticism of the mitey mate will now be deleted or allowed to stand.

Maybe he had some of us blocked at the time.

I wouldn't worry MTB seems to make a fool of himself whatever he comments on. He is the Gift that keeps giving I do miss the old days however, when yourself Jenlyn and others would take him to task,he was kept on his toes if nothing else.

Well back on thread I ordered some keelblack to cover up the Zinger blacking it is bitumastic based modified for a longer life and easy application. My mates boat is out as well both widebeams it looks as though 25 litres will give us 3 coats each with some left over for repairs. It took me 1.5 hours this morning to put the second coat on [57 x 12] so it is very easy to apply. The first coat soaked into the zinger blacking! second coat looks much better. Johns boat is a bit of a mess it was shot blasted and 2 pack epoxied when new and clearly its not as good as they make out 3 mm pits in places!! we have fertaned it and hopefully this stuff will hold out for a while, its all down to metal piling awful stuff for corroding your boat! We are back in on sunday and a easy trip back to Rotherham for me

It went silver!! it wasnt UV stable so they paid for the docking and the product but once bitten twice shy! The blacking is just to protect the Zinc undercoat from abrasion etc I also had to dock it for prop damage and to paint the gunwales.
