Amazing how the fallacious arguments flow like water any time someone suggests the police may be something other than demigods.Which of course I have never actually suggested. clutching at straws for an argument.

The Daily Mail won't accept comments from readers - and we all know why. And the 'travellers' won't be telling what really happened, will they? www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7482261/Man-20-accused-murdering-PC-Andrew-Harper-sees-charge-DROPPED.htmlHowever, it looks like Karma has come around to bite the Police in the bum: "Had a gang o’ travellers rock up recently… never seen so many large capacity 3yr old Mercedes’!!! ‘Course if you don’t tax, MOT and insure them, and siphon your petrol, you can probably afford it. They cleared out 3 site boxes overnight from one of the big jobs I was on, job got shut down for a week, 30 sparks and mech fitters lost all their handtools, drillers, test kit, drums of armored cable, the sodding lot; not an inch of copper left on site! parasitic bastards. When the actual coppers arrived and sensed the mood (and we could see their rat-camp barely 1/2 a mile across the adj. fields) all they did was warn us off any ideas or attempts to recover our stuff mob handed." "I emailed a reporter who was covering the invasion of the Brighton sea front by travellers. Her report stated that the police saw no reason to intervene. Using the magic of the internet a few government sites and the photos of the vehicles it became apparent that the vehicle parked next to a police car had no tax (type is a car taxed into the internet put in the reg and there you go.) . This sent me off on the MOT history of the vehicle, well lets just say that it has a glowing history, complete passes no advisory’s one year it didn’t clock up a single mile and on a further two years the vehicle was driven in reverse deducting close to 700 miles from the odometer. Bless them and their caring police friends"

Try typing the police vehicle into askmid as well!
Got a lovely pic from a few years ago, the police had seized someone's shiny black range rover for having no insurance, and they were displaying it outside the Cathedral in town with posters bearing dire warnings about what will happen to us if we don't get insurance. They were displaying it on the back of their own transporter which also showed up on askmid.com as an uninsured vehicle.
There's actually an MOT station on a travellers camp, friend of mine's father has a traveller background, he took his impreza there for its MOT just so he could show me it. No idea how many bent tests that place turns out, but I wouldn't be surprised if its thousands and I wouldn't be surprised if it's none.

This policeman was killed by his own colleagues, not by the pikey, he was run down and dragged by another police vehicle.
Do you have some information that is not in the public domain, or are you just making it up to fit an agenda?
I'm still hearing the killing blow was delivered by a police vehicle, no I'm not making it up, I can't say if it's true or not I wasn't there, but when I first heard it they hadn't even admitted that PC Harper had been struck by a police vehicle at all, now they've admitted that much.
I have information which is not going to be allowed into the public domain, apparently. I was fully expecting it to be in the public domain the day after I said it here leaving you wondering how the heck I knew that, all I can say is I got it off someone who attended the aftermath, I've known him since the late 90s, talk to him regular on IRC. At least they've gone as far as to admit PC Harper was "also" struck by a police vehicle now.
Yes I have an agenda with police because I feel they are going badly wrong, I don't want people dead or injured though, police people included, What I want is for the police to stop this pavlovian covering up for each other's offending and do the opposite, have a purge of all the bent ones, I want every constable to hold every other constable to exactly the same standard as they hold the general public so the general public can trust the police again. Apparently that's a bad thing in many people's eyes, I reckon they just haven't given it enough thought yet.

Try typing the police vehicle into askmid as well! Seriously, not long ago police forces would have lodged money with Lloyds of London and self insured. I think nowadays they will just have a blanket cover covering all their vehicles and drivers. Hampshire constabulary use AIG, I know this as a police acr was involved in an accident that wrote of my immaculate 6k a year box Passat.

Coppers killing people is a bit of a technical problem. This came up with the knocking moped thieves onto the tarmac thing. Yes Obviously Everyone agrees with this strategy however the law does not adequately protect the police employee who carries out the manoover. So its a flawed strategy.
It seems obvious that it was the pikeys who were the problem otherwise there would not have been an incident.

Whatever the truth of the terrible tragedy my sympathy goes to Andrew Harpers family ..it must be awful reading all the allegations that are coming out... There are many 'if only's' post any untimely death. In this case the 'Pikeys' had been causing trouble for a while yet these areas become 'no go' where Police fear to tread...they don't have the resources to effectively deal and it may well be that they close their eyes to these problems until forced to open. There are 'bad apples' in every barrel and it could well be true that some individuals crimes are whitewashed because of the 'old boys network' that is a part of many establishments. We all hear of incidents that should have been investigated properly but are not be it police, armed forces, MP's, Doctors, nurses etc etc. It takes real courage to admit fault and blame and sadly this society can shred honesty, and point accusing fingers at those who do stand up and admit their mistakes. 'Make them Pay' mindset is a frightening one to have to deal with. Incidents happen, we r all human and mistakes are made. It is wrong to blame others but I can see why it happens..Self preservation is basic instinct.

I was fully expecting it to be in the public domain
It was in 'the public domain' - I saw in it some 'newspaper' - Daily Mail / Telegraph - i forget which, but did I not put the link up here? Here we go, after a moment's search: "PC Andrew Harper died after being struck with a car" www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/pc-andrew-harper-northumbria-police-16866574"A NEWLYWED cop was dragged under a getaway van for hundreds of yards then accidentally hit by a police car" www.thesun.co.uk/news/9741190/police-van-andrew-harper-travellers/"A police officer attending a burglary was killed after being dragged by a van then hit by a police car" www.thetimes.co.uk/article/murdered-pc-andrew-harper-was-hit-by-police-car-9jj39nk3s"Harper was then also possibly hit by a police car shortly after." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Andrew_HarperObviously someone knows what really happened, for instance, the Police driving the car that allegedly hit Harper. There has been little told in all this, but then, as we all know, 'travellers' are a protected species and are free to roam the country depositing their shit, and free to thieve and break planning laws, etc. As have the millionaire residents of Little Hadham in Hertfordshire found out to their chagrin.

In this case the 'Pikeys' had been causing trouble for a while yet these areas become 'no go' where Police fear to tread...they don't have the resources to effectively deal The Police have the resources to clear protesters out of the way when Boris goes to Buckingham Palace. Funny how they conjure up resources when they have 'none'. They find the money for truncheons with which they can bang striking miners on the head (people who just want a fair income for their families), yet 'have their hands tied' when it comes to bonking 'travellers' on the bonce. If the Police don't have the resources, send the Army in to clear the illegal travellers' pop-up-slums. If there's 'nowhere to go', may I suggest plonking them outside Buckingham Palace where there is ample space inside the railings? Meghan and Gingernut can ply them with food and drink.
