It's interesting but from experience of many hundreds of hours of winter cruising on a narrow boat I know that tiller bars have wooden ends for a reason.
I think that might be china but could be wrong. If it was it will freeze your hand.
If it's wood then it's superb.

We lived on a narrowboat for 13 years until 2010 and to be honest I hadn't thought of that. It was ceramic, so yes, cold on the dannies on those freezing days. Since I saw the finished article I do catch myself in pubs studying the barware, there are some beauties. The yanks do some nice ones. Come to think of it surely there are countries in other parts of Europe that have similar beer pump handles.
