Iv seen several radiators fitted on boats some being the pressed steel white radiator types used in most houses and a few have opted for cast iron ones... so what’s best option for a boat heating system
Cast iron radiators tend to be very fat. Obviously they are heavier and thus take longer to heat up and cool down. Some people like the “vintage” look of them, but personally I prefer the clean lines of a modern radiator.
Tel - LEM - a - Khus for the thickos that didn't do the classics at proper school.
2 odball similar to cast iron style from industrial blown air system, under a grating floor in the wheelhouse 1 cast iron style in main bedroom (chosen because it was the only one that fitted in gap) 5 flat modern style radiators.
they all work in much the same fashion but I suspect the panel types are slightly more efficient ....... just fit whatever you prefer
Another quite sensible method for narrow boats is to use fin rads.
Fin rads are great, we had a small single panel rad in the toilet, a large double panel rad in the saloon and we had fin rads all down the boat, 500w per metre and we had 8 metres of finrad. 60ft boat and SF stove in the bows so we were never cold, in fact we only ever had a 4 tog duvet on the bed and only ever wore T shirts and joggers. The key with fin rads (as I discovered the hard way) is to ensure they are not "too" boxed in to look pretty - you also need a considerable amount of ventilation to the bottom of the boxes to ensure cold air can be dragged in and heated up.
I made the mistake of fitting 2, 3 foot ones under the raised floor in the dinette and whilst the "floor" gets warm, there isn't enough heat to make the room feel warm unless I turn on the little 1ft square rads either side too - that said, it's probably because I struggled to line up the "holes" in the sub floor with the Oak boarding on top...

JohnV: There are other drugs but I haven't found the side effects with Ramipril to be bad, it seems to just make my throat a bit more sensitive so things that might have just tickled my throat and make me want to clear it now make me cough.
