My boat has 2 lockers, added to the back of the original hull, with loose lids, always been something of a problem. The outboard sits on a transom beam between them. I had fitted rubber checkerplate mats over to keep the worst of the rain out, Storm Ciara stole one, so time to bite the bullet, I've made 2mm Ali checkerplate lids with a turnover lip to keep the rain out. I cut them out, cut and folded the slots for the stanchions, put them in place and folded the lip in situ with a Warrington Pattern Persuader. Completed in a snowstorm.

The other locker cover. Is that a gap at the leading edge of the starboard plate to let the deck drain easily

Same on port side. I'm going to mould corners in those upturns maybe the superglue and powder with insulation tape mould. When it's not snowing!

No I'm not scarred I am scared Always disliked aluminium tread plate as it gives a false impression of being anti slip. Just when you actually need an anti slip surface it will let you down. Scary

Scary It's OK, where it is. Handrail all round. Better than the painted steel tread plate. Gives some sort of uniformity. The central piece came off a trap, the footplate (as in pony and...). It's also easy to fabricate with limited kit.
