I suppose on the plus side it might enable people to discover new foodstuffs they never considered before. Perhaps caviar will become more popular as supermarkets discount it to make room on the shelves for more sanity products. SPAM !!! I believe people are panic buying that for emergency dog rations.

Weve had deliveries of big roll today. There is over 200 pallets, all to go out over the next 24 hours or so. Hitting the shops today or tomorrow. Any tips on shopping timing generally? Having been out mid morning yesterday, as the time progressed, the numbers of people generally around town went down constantly. I got the impression it must have been jammed first thing? I would like not only to do a bit of shopping, but NOT do my shopping in a huge mob of people. the larger stores will all have overnight replenishment. Smaller stores such as coops and tesco express will have their delivery as and when so it's a guess. Saying that most retailers get their chilled stock in as early as possible. Over than that I have no idea. I've only been shopping to get certain stuff as and when we run out, as of yet we've been ok.

Which is fine for you with your finger on the pulse, but we are left guessing. TBH we have enough food for a week now, like normal, but I'd be happier with a big bag of rice to hoard. Pretty daft to have to shop 3x in 2 shops instead of our usual once a week in one shop just to get our normal supplies. It can't be helping the social distancing thing.
