Rather like the fishing ban, I suspect the idea is to stop people GOING to the canal to canoe, fish etc. Clinton Cool 's already there so no contact is risked. Rog There r still a few fishing at the far end of the Mumbles...very early though and I imagine they go before those who'd object arrive. C&RT don't cover that pattyRog

The fishing thing got me wondering about the eastern Europeans.
I wonder what proportion of EE migrant workers legged it back home in the last few weeks and whether they will be allowed back afterwards bearing in mind the Brexit thing.
Hmm.
Will this virus result in a dip in UK population, on top of the dead people?

Will this virus result in a dip in UK population, on top of the dead people? Let's hope so. The dip in the population being through unskilled EU workers not returning that is, rather than too many people dying.

I go shopping by kayak now. Naughty boy!
Can I still canoe or kayak?
No, we have suspended canoeing and other paddle sports on our waterways for the time being.
CRT own the canals? Or theft by stealth?

They manage the waterways ... they are the authority.

In washing cars. And pushing the Big Ishhoo in your face.

If I ever swap my narrowboat for a camper that area's at the top of my list. Might be a few years too late though, I guess plod doesn't approve of ageing surfers setting up camp in laybys. it's beautiful and I can walk to lovely places..I walk the cliff path daily from Mumbles to Langland and then cut through a park before home. however i need transport to get to the Worms Head...that'll be a post Coronageddon plan As for camper vans there r still places where the free spirits park up.

CRT own the canals? Or theft by stealth? Well the National Trust seem to think they OWN their land, rather than be caretakers of it. Maybe CRT are subtly using the same language so they can have more control over it. As both charities were predominantly funded by the general public, this is a bit worrying. But of course we have bigger things to worry about now!

It's a bit naff being stuck on a boat when you like to exercise a lot. Â I'm guessing that social distancing is messing up your normal exercise routine..
