Gonna wash boat tomorrow. As it was only painted last year, should I also polish it?

The paint should be well cured by now. I use Epifanes wash and wax stuff and boat soap products. Needs no laborious polishing. Obviously, don't be tempted to use anything with abrasive polishing substances in the product. You shouldn't need that for a few years; and then only fine polishing products.
In my former life, I used to paint narrowboats.

I've been wondering about this lately. Several of my boats are looking a bit knackered. Years ago I used T-Cut with some success on faded paintwork.
Are there any better options ?

Sounds good to me. I wear dark glasses most of of the time anyway due to living in inner east London.

At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious ...... don't polish any paint you stand on, tops of the gunnels at the bow for instance. Often lethal when wet.

Just to clarify this was an attempt to prove how old the forum is by dredging up an old thread Getting on for two years ?

A good few years back i used Pink Stuff to get a boat polished back up, it had been sat for about 10 years under trees so very green and tired. The stuff worked a treat and have a great shine. Not the abrasive one though, the ones used for caravans etc.
