Huh .... writing a diary ..... that's no good for me ...... By suppertime I probably won't remember what I did during the day I love my diary..its become an important part of my day..plus its helped me 'win' several skirmishes with solicitors..they cannot argue 'contemporaneous' records.... Sometimes I just want another confrontation cos I just know I'm gonna win.....

We were getting ready for our first trip on the Anderton lift & onto the Weaver. The trip on the lift is great and I thoroughly enjoyed my (too brief) trip on the Weaver .... I promised myself a return at some time. We loved it so much(especially me) that we did it again on the way back from our summer trip. The whole of the Weaver was open again & we spent two weeks there.I'd go again at the drop of a hat !

We spent a very wet couple of days on the Weaver last year ....I'm booked late July ... just have a week on the weaver (ish) and then back up and then head back off to Liverpool for my 4th attempt at getting there ...
Crt have yet to cancel my Anderton booking which gives me a glimmer of hope.

Hope ... yes that's what we need. We've walked the Weaver, visited Northwich and the lift visitor centre ..l just never travelled down it yet. We will at some point. Have to give the Salt Barge a mention here ... brilliant family pub with good home cooked food ... highly recommended Rog

Round by the now open (or would be but for the v word) Salt Museum. We like to moor there, and it's a pleasant stroll by towpath, or through the park to the lift visitor centre. We have walked into Northwich by road from the Salt Barge too. Forgot to mention the pub is dog friendly too ... it's a proper old style English pub Rog
